Vaccinations

As promised by Dr. Jack, the vaccination program for the children at Angel House is underway. Last week, Dr. Jack and Nurse Marcia were able to vaccinate the children with their first series of shots - these immunizations included MMR (Measles. Mumps and Rubella), DTP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertusis), and Polio. All the children also received an updated TB skin testing.

Of course, the babies are still too young to get the measles, mumps and rubella vaccination but will get them when they are 15 months old. They will also have TB skin tests at 9 months.

***Since most of the children received their MMR vaccines much later than 15 months, the second dose should be given in 3-4 years when most of the children, if not all, will be at home in the States.
